Adopting outside of your race

For some reason; no I have grown up in church all my life. And in an attempt to be "all inclusive" adopting outside your race is a badge of complete obedience. But as a black women; I have noticed it is our children that are being adopted white families and actually I have never seen the reverse. I just stuff the thoughts of historical resurgence of white washing or re-socializing the other out of my mind; those scenes in my textbook of Native American's or Aboriginals stolen from their homes to be renamed and taught to be 'right'. I see that these families are loving and open; but why don't we see more black families with white children in the spirit of finding a good home for those in need. I am so grateful for the rate of homeless children decreasing by any means possibly; but that irking feeling remains. Are these children badges of conformity to a progressive society that wants to quickly and forcefully push off it's racist facade. Are we really creating a rainbow tribe; then why is it seemingly in one direction? How do black families who adopt white children fit in this new world.
